March 3 ended an extreme photo tour of Kolyma

Participants from Hungary and Russia traveled more than 2500 km., And also visited Yakutsk, the Lena Pillars and completed the tour with a four-day stay in Magadan.

At the same time, the route of the tour was adjusted - added 2 additional driving days and, accordingly, a visit to two interesting places that were not originally envisaged - the camps of the Gulag Near the village of Topolinoye (190 km north of the main road) and travel along the Starokolymsky tract with an overnight stay in the village of Ust-Omchug. It was a gift from tour organizer Yevgeny Androsov to the participants - excellent guys and now class friends of Csaba Keszei, Zoltan Markolt from Hungary and Oleg Pischulin from Ufa.

And the whole tour went like this:

December 17th (day of arrival, outside the tour program) - visiting two museums - mammoth and archeology, as well as a private museum The estate of the Atlasovs in Yakutsk. Evening gatherings with guests, gifts and Yakut delicacies - many thanks for this day to the fantastic Jana Makarova who made for us and, especially, for guests from Hungary, this day a busy, interesting and unforgettable! Openness, affability and sincerity of Yakutsk residents we will never forget!

18 December - a visit to the Lena and Elanskaya pillars (200 kilometers one way, part of the way - along the ice road of the Lena river bed ), Returning to Yakutsk.

December 19 - Yakutsk - pos. Khandyga, drove two ice crossings - through Lena and Aldan, visited a unique open-air museum in the village of Cherkekh.

December 20 - Khandyga - two camps of the Gulag near the village of Topolinoye - the village of Teply Klyuch.

December 21 - Warm key - Oymyakon.

December 22 - day in Oymyakon: acquaintance with the legendary Tamara Egorovna Vasilievna - writer, scholar, "godmother" Oimyakon - titanic work and the efforts of Ovjamakon's right to be called the Pole of Cold; The delivery of certificates of visiting the Pole of Cold by Chyskhan (Yakut grandfather frost), visiting the herd of Yakut horses, ice fishing on Indigirka, an evening concert organized specially for us by the Oyimakonsky culture house and school.

February 23, - received gifts on the day of the defender of the fatherland from Tamara Yegorovna and went to Ust-Neru, the capital of the gold miners of Yakutia.

February 24 - Ust-Nera - Sasuman. On the way we drove into the ghost town Kadykchan. Once there was a coal mine and lived 14 thousand people, but in 1996, because of a fire at the mine, and then the explosion of the boiler in the boiler room, the city, together with the residents, was abandoned by the authorities to the mercy of fate, because of the lack of heating People hastily left wherever they could, throwing cars and things, many of which lie in multi-storey buildings, a school, a culture house and to this day.

February 25 - Sasuman - Ust-Omchug. Beautiful and quite dangerous passes, a visit to the Gulag museum in the center of additional education and a strange cafe with the owner-gold miner, who tried to sell us the head of a snow sheep, listed in the Red Book.

February 26 - Susuman - Magadan. On the way we drove into the village of Palatka - recorded in the Guinness Book of Records by the number of fountains per capita, bright colored houses, playgrounds and original street lighting. All this is done and supported by the money of the local oligarch - the owner of the gold-mining and processing concern about the strange name "Arbat" for these localities.

February 27 - a car tour with a local guide to Magadan and the surrounding natural attractions. Visited the famous Mask of Grief Ernst Neizvestny, a mammoth and a monument to Vladimir Vysotsky on the shore of Nagaevskaya Bay, Ola village, the place of landing of the discoverers of Magadan, as well as several beautiful passes along the road towards the Khabarovsk Territory.

February 28 - March 3 - free program. We went to the fine museum of local history of Magadan, bypassed on foot the banks of the bays of Nagaev and Gertner, were in a steam bath, bought fish delicacies in the market "Vintage" And even gave an interview to the news agency "MagadanMedia."
