Description

Fundamentally different tour, different from the first as the program and the places of visit. But along with our first round, it allows those who wish to see the whole of Australia - the most interesting and significant thing on this continent. Although in itself it is more than interesting, unusual, and we will not be afraid of this word, it is unique - there are simply no analogues of such a program not only in Russia, but also in the global tourist market!

In this tour there will be a lot of amazing tropical islands of the Great Barrier Reef, a lot of rest and relaxation, but also a lot of nature and places that the mass tourist (especially the Russian!) Did not go to. This is a tour for true connoisseurs of exotic and non-standard routes!

This is our second round in January 2020. If it does not suit you in time or for other reasons, you can watch the program of the first round from December 30 to January 12, 2020, or go to both tours, which will give you a total discount of 20%.

Route day by day

Day 1. Sydney

Group meeting at Sydney Airport. Transfer to the city, accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2. Sydney

Free day in Sydney, exploring the city - one of the most beautiful metropolitan areas of the planet. We spend the night in the same hotel as the day before.

Day 3. New Castle, национальный парке Крауди Бэй

Early in the morning we set off towards the city of Brisbane, however today we will not reach it, stopping for the night in one of the towns along the road, since the distance from Sydney to Brisbane is more than 900 kilometers. So that the road is not too tiring, we will make several pleasant stops. The first is in the city of New Castle. Here you can have a bite at one of the cozy cafes or fish restaurants on the waterfront, admire the old Victorian architecture, and those who wish can swim in the Tasman Sea at Stockton Beach in Anna Bay just outside the city, where the sand dunes stretch for 32 kilometers!
We will make the next stop, a little off the highway, in Crowdy Bay National Park, where you can see how Australia looked at the time of its development by European pioneers - untouched, virgin nature will distract us from the boredom of a long trip.

Day 4. Brisbane

Having overcome the rest of the way, we arrive in Brisbane - a large city with a population of over 2 million people, while the atmosphere of life here is calm and relaxed. The city is a curious mixture of the modern metropolis with the colonial city since the beginning of the last century. Here the spiers of Victorian churches harmoniously side by side with skyscrapers, and in the extensive parks you can find completely secluded places where you won't be disturbed by the bustle of the big city. Here is the best climate in Australia and wonderful city beaches. We will see this by spending the rest in the city, and spend the night in one of the cozy hostels.

Day 5. The largest zoo and Mary Poppins goodbye

In the morning we will go to the largest and most famous Australian zoo near Brisbane, created by the family of the deceased crocodile hunter Steve Irwin. Here we will spend the entire first half of the day watching koalas, of which there are a huge number and you can even chat and take pictures with them, as well as a huge number of other animals and birds, many of which you can hardly see in other zoos around the world, not to mention encounter in the wild. After that, we will stop in Maryborough for an hour to see the monument to Mary Poppins - after all, this is the birthplace of writer Pamela Travers - the author of the novel about the world's most famous nanny.
Overnight stay at the guest house of the town of Hervey Bay.

Day 6. Fraser Island and Champagne Pool

In the morning we drive up to the ferry crossing, leave the car in the parking lot and take a small ferry to Fraser Island. Here we are waiting for a magnificent beach with the so-called “Champagne pools”, which got its name because of the huge number of bubbles formed in the water from the waves beating on coastal stones.
Day of rest, bliss and relaxation.

Day 7. Highway and Airlie Beach

In the morning we will continue our journey again and in the evening we will reach the town of Airlie Beach, where we spend the night in comfortable apartments. On the way, stops are planned in beautiful places and swimming in the sea.

Day 8. Cumberland Islands Cruise

In the morning we reach the pier and, leaving the car in the parking lot, go on a sea cruise on the Cumberland Islands. We are waiting for an incredible tropical adventure with relaxing on the stunning beaches of white sand and turquoise water, fantastic landscapes and complete, one hundred percent relaxation! In the evening we will return to rest in the same apartment where we spent the night before.

Day 9. Townsville - Gate of the Great Barrier Reef

In the morning we will continue our journey again and in the evening we will reach the town of Townsville, which is called not only “the tourist gate of the Great Barrier Reef”. For fans of diving and snorkeling here is a real paradise: the fabulous world of coral islands is just made for scuba diving. But this is all tomorrow, today we will only have dinner in one of the cafes on the waterfront and lie down to sleep in a hotel nearby.

Day 10. Great Barrier Reef and other entertainment

Lovers of diving and snorkeling are waiting for underwater excursions, of which there are plenty in the city - for every taste and budget. Those interested can even order a flight around the Great Barrier Reef by plane or helicopter. But what about those who are not ready to pay money for expensive excursions and / or do not want to dive into the ocean with a scuba diving or a mask? For them, there are even more options for recreation and entertainment!

Fans of hiking will surely appreciate Strand - 2 km of the city embankment. Here you can not only take a walk, but also get a lot of vivid impressions of carnivals and festivals that are held on its territory during the season almost daily. Another popular place among pedestrians in the city is Flinders Street. It is known for the fact that for 130 years only a human foot has been stepping on it, since movement by means of vehicles is strictly prohibited.

Those who want to look into the past of Australia, Townsville provides a unique opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of the XIX century. In national homes, tourists can transform into farmers, bankers or workers and live their lives for a while.

The huge aquarium “World of Wonders - Great Barrier Reef”, where you can watch representatives of the flora and fauna living in coastal areas, is one of the main attractions of the city.

The special pride of Townsville is the Black River Stadium, which hosts rodeos. The goal of the heated audience, who came for the thrill, is to get the maximum dose of adrenaline and it will be received in full!

Day 11. Magnetic Island

In the morning we go by ferry to Magnetic Island (Magnetic Island). The island is incredibly beautiful, and near its shore in the shallows lies an old ship, overgrown with trees - an incredible sight!
Весь день мы пробудем на острове, купаясь, загорая, занимаясь сноркелингом, исследуя окрестности и делая фантастические снимки, а вечером на пароме вернемся в Таунсвилл.

Day 12. Girringun National Park

On this day, we will take a trip to the Girringun National Park, where we will see the highest waterfall in Australia, Wallaman (305 meters). The road to it is partially - this is a mountain serpentine in the jungle, so it will not be boring :) On our return, we continue and are completing our rest on the coast of the Great Barrier Reef.

Day 13. Adelaide

In the morning, transfer to the airport and fly to another part of Australia - the city of Adelaide. Despite its impressive size, it is a very warm, pleasant and cozy city, immersed in greenery and breathing freedom since the 18th century, even then it played the role of a center of religious freedom, progressive social policy and protection of civil rights.

From the airport, we will go to the city center, where we will walk along its beautiful streets and squares for a couple of hours, have lunch in a cozy cafe, and then go to the wine-making center in the east of the city, where we will taste the best sorts of wines that South Australia is famous for. After we stop at the Belair National Park almost within the city, where we will stop for the night in a beautiful campsite, and the time remaining until night can be walked through the park.

Day 14. Adelaide. Morialta and Cleland National Parks

We will spend the first half of the day walking through two more national parks in the vicinity of Adelaide - Morialta, famous for the large number of waterfalls and Cleland, filled with exotic Australian fauna, and then we will go a long way towards Sydney. In the coming days, we have to overcome about 1,500 km by car. Australian expanses and see a lot of interesting things along the way. But on this day we will drive only a small part, completing it in the town of Broken Hill.

Day 15. Broken Hill

Despite the fact that the town of Broken Hill, in which we arrived the day before, is very small and is located on the outskirts of the Australian civilization, we did not come here by chance - there are a lot of interesting things here, which we will deal with all this day.

The layout of each building in this remote and little-known town has been carefully thought out and has its own architectural style. The scrupulous attitude of residents to the architecture and cleanliness of Broken Hill turns it into a fabulous town. The neighborhood of Broken Hill is rich in minerals, so almost all the streets have the names of the minerals that are mined here. This highlight distinguishes the town from among many cities in Australia. But the city owes its name to the farmers who called this place “the cracked hill transport to the airport and the flight home or to New Zealand (for those who decide to continue traveling with us in the neighboring, no less stunning country) - the outcrops of rocks around the city resemble splits and cracks.

We will see here the famous sculptures created by the Mexican sculptor Antonio Nava Tirado, one of which, Under Jaguar Sun, is considered to be the symbol of the city.

And 25 kilometers from Broken Hill there is a place called Silverstone, where we will also go. That there is something interesting, let it remain our little secret, but the mass of positive emotions from visiting this place is guaranteed! Let us only say that this is one of the most popular places in the world for making films and advertising !

Day 16. Sturt Highway and expanses of South Australia

In the morning we will continue our way along the Sturt Highway with scenic views around. We are not going in a hurry, stopping in beautiful places, walking and taking pictures of everything that we like. We will stop for the night in one of the small cozy towns, to which we have enough time and strength to reach the end of this busy day.

Day 17. Canberra - the capital of Australia

We continue to move and for dinner we will be in Canberra - the capital of Australia. The city is interesting because it was built specifically to perform metropolitan functions. Canberra was proclaimed the capital of Australia in 1908, and the reason for this decision was a perennial confrontation between the cities of Sydney and Melbourne. Having arrived in the city, we will quickly examine its center - the parliament building, the man-made reservoir - Burley Griffin Lake, the huge fountain “Captain Cook” and the National Carillon – tower with a height of 50 m, on which 55 bells weighing from 7 kg to 6 tons are placed.
Afterwards we will continue to move and in the evening we will arrive in the Blue Mountains, where we will stop at the campsite of this national park.

Day 18. Blue Mountain

Blue Mountains is a national park near Sydney, with high eucalyptus trees, fern thickets, marshes, waterfalls, rocks and caves. Initially, this mountain range, which is part of the Great Dividing Range, was called Carmarthen, but everyone who saw the picturesque mountains was struck by a distinct blue smoke above them. It arises from the evaporation of eucalyptus oils of more than 90 species of trees growing here, therefore at the end of the 18th century the mountain range got its new name - the Blue Mountains.
Here we will make a small track for a few hours, make amazing shots and by the evening we will arrive in Sydney.

Day 19. Сидней и вылет домой

Transfer to the airport and flight home or to New Zealand (for those who decide to continue their journey with us in a neighboring, equally stunning country).
