Come off for centuries from metropolitan centers, lost among the endless taiga and swamps Kenozerye preserved to this day unique architectural monuments and way of life of the population as they were in the 14-16 centuries. It is a true open-air museum, but unlike the famous Kizhi or Small Karel where monuments were brought from different regions of Karelia and the Arkhangelsk region, where ancient masterpieces of Russian wooden architecture are in their pristine landscapes.

In 2004, the park was included in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves, and therefore officially recognized as the property of the entire planet.

We will guide through almost the entire reserve region from north to south, from the village Vershinino through Kenozero, looking into his innermost nooks and inspecting distant chapels, spend the night on the island, we crossed at its southern shore, and go down the transkenozerskomu path through Porzhensky churchyard and the village Dumini to the south edge of the park in the village Morschihinskaya.

At the end of the tour we will take a walk on the ancient Russian town - Kargopol, which is due to isolation from the road kept the historic charm and quiet.

Vidyagino Village (Vedyagino) is located on the shores of Lake Vidyaginskogo, which is part of Kenozero. This is one of the most picturesque places Kenozerye. It is possible that the lake its name Vidyaginskoe received from the word "seen", ie beautiful, a prominent lake.

At the beginning of the path we are waiting for a miracle of nature - the river Porzhenka. It follows from Porzhenskih lakes, cuts the belt of hills that were formed about 60 million years ago, to make its canyon, which in some places reaches a depth of 100 m. With a length of 8 km, it has a few meters of falling and because of the numerous rapids gives the impression of a powerful mountain stream.

After lunch we arrive in the village of Fedorov. It is located near the picturesque lake Porzhenskogo, with interesting architecture on Porzhenskim graveyard on the beach. It is the spiritual center of Kenozerye and amazingly beautiful wooden structure, which consists of the churchyard and the church in the sacred grove in the middle of open meadows, close to the smooth surface of the Grand Lake Porzhenskogo. By Porzhenskomu graveyard is not accessible by car, here you have to go on foot. This place attracts many people for over two hundred years.

Near the churchyard set camp by the lake.

And in the evening slop in the bath as possible.

Day 6

From Maselga go on a dirt road about 15 km to the Morschihinskoy. There is southern Kenozero office park, and there is also a museum and a cafe with local cuisine. Here, amazingly friendly and hospitable people. Morschihinskaya located on the shore of Lake Lyokshmozero - excellent fishing!

Day 7

Today part of our hiking route came to an end. In the morning, we take the bus and go to Kargopol. Here, light walk on a city tour. On request, we visit the museums, the master classes.

Due to various circumstances, Kargopol now rarely visited by tourists, and almost never formally organized groups. In contrast to the widely advertised Great Ustyug, which is now difficult to name a quiet provincial town, Kargopol still remains so.
