Itinerary day by day:

We meet at lunchtime at the Mineralnye Vody airport. You need to buy tickets for a morning flight arriving in Mineralnye Vody no later than 13:00, or arrive the night before and check into a hotel in Mineralnye Vody or Pyatigorsk on your own. You can also come by train, we will pick you up at the train station.

Moving to the village of Terskol, where we register the group with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and those who do not have enough equipment for the climb can rent everything they need, fortunately there are plenty of rental points for mountaineering clothing, shoes and equipment here. After that, we move to the village of Elbrus and immediately set off on the route to the starting point of the climb.

Considering that we will set out on the route closer to the evening, we will walk 5 - 7 kilometers on this day, after which we will set up camp on the bank of the Irik River in a beautiful pine forest.

We continue our way up through the Irikchat Pass and the Irikchat Glacier to the base camp on the lower border of the Achkeryakol lava flow. Here we will pitch our tents.

As we move up, the pine forests gradually turn into subalpine meadows. Further on, the vegetation becomes less and less, and then it disappears altogether, giving way to rocks, snow and ice. At the end of June, the snow line is quite low, so be prepared to walk a lot on loose snow, which, as you gain altitude, turns into a snow crust.

Day of rest and acclimatization. Since we have risen to a decent altitude quite quickly, it is necessary for the body to rest and adapt to the thin air. On this day we look around the neighborhood, sleep, communicate, and prepare for the ascent to altitude.

On this day we make an acclimatization hike to an altitude of 5000 meters along the rocks of the Achkeryakol lava flow. It is difficult, but beautiful!

Another day of rest before the ascent. After reaching 5000 meters, rest is especially important.

Wake up at 12 midnight, quickly pack up, grab a bite to eat and we set off to climb. We go with flashlights so that we can be at the top no later than 8-9 am.

We celebrate our triumph, then descend to the camp and rest. The climb takes 7-9 hours, the descent - 5-6 hours.

Descent along the familiar route from the base camp to the village of Elbrus. If the group wishes, they can immediately go to Mineralnye Vody/Pyatigorsk, or rent a hotel and spend the night there (not included in the tour price).

Spare days in case of waiting for a weather window for the ascent.

The tour price includes:

  • transfer from the airport (railway station) of Mineralnye Vody to the villages of Terskol and Elbrus and back within the tour dates,
